Flea Market Application is an application which you can sell unnecessary things and buy what other people are selling. Famous applications are Mercari, PayPay flea market, and Rakuma.

1.Take pictures of the item
At first, please tale pictures of the item. You can sell the item with only one picture, but uploading several pictures is recommended such as front side and back side. You can also take several pictures by slightly changing the orientation.
2.Upload the pictures and write explanation about the item
Next, please upload the pictures and write explanation about the item. Application ask you to fill in blanks such as category, condition, name, explanation, price, the way of delivery, and the number of days of shipping. If any one of them is missing, it is often impossible to sell. Please make sure that you fill in all blanks. Also, detailed product descriptions make it easier for products to be sold. Fill in every blank and click the “Sell” button to complete the listing.
When your item is sold…
When your item is sold, application send you a notification. Please ship your product within the number of days of shipping that you decide when you list them.

1.Pack your item
Envelopes or cardboard boxes are used for packing. Please wrap the item by plastic bags or air cushion so that the item does not get wet and is broken. Flea Market Application companies sell their own cardboard box at convenience stores. You can use them. Also, sending the item with a message card is recommended. You can write like 「購入してくださってありがとうございます（こうにゅうしてくださってありがとうございます）」（Thank you for buying）.
2.Ship
You can ship at convenience stores, post offices, or YAMATO TRANSPORT (ヤマト運輸). Shipping place and postage can be different depending on the size. The shipping location also changes depending on whether it is anonymous delivery or not. If you choose that postage is paid by buyer, you do not have to pay the ship fee, but it will be difficult to be sold. If you choose that you pay the postage, it is automatically deducted from your sale. You do not have to go out of your way to pay it at register or other places.
3.Send dispatch notice
When your shipping is completed, please send dispatch notice to buyer. Please click dispatch notice button. The button is usually red and written the phrase like 「商品を発送しました（しょうひんをはっそうしました）」（Item is dispatched）. Then, buyer can receive the dispatch notification. It is recommended to send message like 「商品を発送させていただきました。商品の到着までもうしばらくお待ちください（しょうひんをはっそうさせていただきました。しょうひんのとうちゃくまでもうしばらくおまちください）」（I have shipped the product. Please wait for a while. The product will arrive soon.）after you push the notification button.
About Sales
Seller can receive his/her sales after buyer clicks the pickup button. You cannot get money when your item is sold. Also, sales often cannot withdraw as actual money. Please use the sales in the application or as electronic money.
How to buy
To buy as cheap as possible…
①Compare
Don’t you want to buy items as cheap as possible? Then, please search the item’s name and rearrange the order from cheap to expensive. This procedure helps you find cheap and good quality item. Please check not only pictures, but also its conditions from explanation!
②Higgle
In Flea Market Application, you can send messages directly to sellers. In the message, you can not only check the condition of the item and request of adding photos, but also ask them to lower the price. Let’s ask a seller politely like「コメント失礼します。購入を考えているのですが、こちらの商品は（○○円に）お値下げ可能でしょうか。（こめんとしつれいします。こうにゅうをかんがえているのですが、こちらのしょうひんは（○○えんに）おねさげかのおうでしょうか）」（Excure me. I’m thinking about buying this item. Is it possible to lower the price of this product?）.
Point before buying
When purchasing on flea market application, you can buy an item on a first come, first served basis. If you want to buy it, please buy it soon or show your will to buy by sending message to the seller. If someone show his/her will to buy in the message, you cannot buy the item. Also, please do not buy the items if 「○○様専用（○○さませんよう）」（For ○○ only）is written on its picture. Those items are usually cheaper than others because other buyer higgled before.

Purchase button is often written like 「購入手続きへ（こうにゅうてつづきへ）」（To the purchase procedure）. The button is often red and located lower right.
2.Choose payment methods
In Mercari, you can choose payment methods from Merpay balance, Mercari points, d points (Docomo points). Recently, you can also choose deferred payment. In PayPay Flea Market, you can choose payment method from PayPay balance, deferred payment, or credit card. In Rakma, you can choose payment method from credit card, payment at convenience store, etc….
3.Check shipping address
If you have bought items by the application before, your address is registered. If your address is changed or you use the application for the first time, please register your address. You can also register addresses other than your house.
4.Click purchase confirmation button
Please check the item you buy, payment method, shipping address, and if they are correct, please click purchase confirmation button. The button is often like 「購入を確定する（こうにゅうをかくていする）」（Confirm my purchase）.
After purchase
After your item arrived, please check the contents, and evaluate seller. In Mercari, please check the box that says “I have checked the contents of the product”, and click evaluation button such as 「よかった」（Excellent）「ふつう」（Good）「いまいち」（Poor）. You can not only click the button, but also send messages. It is recommended to send a message like「今回はお取引いただきありがとうございました。また機会がありましたらよろしくお願いします（こんかいはおとりひきいただきありがとうございました。またきかいがありましたらよろしくおねがいします）」（I appreciate your quick and polite response. I hope to be able to buy from you when another opportunity comes up again.）
